I hope this message finds you well, and that you are having a productive semester. Hang in there -- only about a month left in the term. You can do it! As we approach the summer months, it is a good time to reflect upon and share recent accomplishments. As such, I would like to invite you to make a brief contribution to the spring 2022 SCSA newsletter.
Here at the SCSA, we publish the newsletter twice yearly to continue our running dialogue about sociological issues and concerns around the state, exchange information and opportunities, and keep each other aware of SCSA members’ experiences and achievements.
As you may know, Katya Terry (Piedmont Technical College) has been editing the SCSA newsletter for about three years now. She is doing a fantastic job (as you can see by looking at the fall 2021 edition, accessed here).
We would like to hear from you about any news from your neck of the woods including: information about new programs, hires and promotions; sociology related events (e.g. Sociology Club, AKD, study abroad or away, field trips) at your institution; sociological queries, ideas about, or applications to social life in South Carolina; short book or film reviews; teaching tips or innovations; awards and recognitions; research news (e.g. conference presentations, articles, books); student profile and achievements (e.g. prizes; graduate school acceptance); recommended blogs, websites, books, articles, with strong sociological content, etc.
Thanks for your consideration. We look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
