ELIGIBILITY: Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged. Candidates must be current SCSA members but need not reside in South Carolina. Please visit the SCSA website at https://southcarolinasociology.org/membershipto join or renew your membership.
HOW TO APPLY:
To apply for this award, please submit the following items:
· A one- to two-page cover letter that introduces the applicant to the committee and describes research, scholarship, or creative endeavors conducted within the last three years only
· Curriculum Vitae
· One letter of recommendation from a colleague familiar with the nominee’s research
· Supporting documentation such as the PDF of no more than one published article or book chapter, or other visual material that demonstrates excellence

AWARD RECIPIENT: The winner will be announced at the 2026 SCSA meeting and receive recognition on the organization’s website. The recipient will also receive a cash award and plaque.
